As a career minded military spouse, it is imperative that you have a mentor. Why? As you move from duty station to duty station, you will come across unique career challenges. A mentor is someone who believes in you and wants you to…

Top 10 Tips for Job Seekers
By: Lauren Weiner
My company has been in the midst of a huge recruiting push over the last 2 months, and my staff and I have seen it all—from some great resumes and cover letters that really stand out from the crowd to some terrible interviews (often with people we were really excited about based on their resumes). In no particular order, here are some of my own observations about what works—and what…

Kurtis Wade Weaver said… Hi Haley! I was finally able to apply for a position with Paevius. There were a few issues with the website so hopefully they are able to get those cleared up soon for others who may be interested. I spoke with Chris from Praevius over the phone and he was very helpful in passing along my submission.
Thanks for the info!
Cara Bertozzi said… Hi Haley, Thanks for the note. I'm excited to get to Fort Bragg and start networking. I have a PhD in molecular biology and have done a mixture of research, editing, and teaching in the last two years due to a number of moves. We will only be at Bragg for nine months, so I'm currently looking for contract work. I'm always looking to learn from women who have made a career work while married to a soldier! I will look forward to being part of the Bragg group going forward. Best, Cara
Christina Overstreet said… Hey Haley! Thanks for the note. I thought I was already a member, so my apologies it took so long! Thanks for all of your hard work and dedication. We definitely need to catch up soon! :D Why don't we meet for lunch?
Megan Greenwald-Yarnell said… Thanks for the welcome Haley. I am in fact involved with the Michigan military spouses- I met Jocelyn Benson last week and she mentioned this website. Thought I would check it out. I'm currently a PhD student in a field that primarily trains academic scientists, but I'm not very optimistic that this will be compatible with frequent PCSs. Glad to find a site like this!!

Jenifer Brailsford said… Hi Haley. Thank you for the welcome. I actually found out about this site from a discussion board on Linkedin for mil spouses. I would love to help out anyway I can. I recently received my MBA and looking for new opportunities. Please keep me updated with the developments for my region, I will be sure to pass the information along to other spouses in the area.
Ashley Sexton said… Hi Haley! Thanks for your welcome message! My husband and I are currently living in Ann Arbor, Michigan but will be relocating to Washington DC this May. I work as a clinical engineer for a cardiac device company but unfortunately don't think I will be able to stay with the company when we move. I am interested in the biotech field (where I have about 6 years experience) and am also taking graduate courses in public health to increase my scope of healthcare understanding. I would love to connect with other professionals in the healthcare field as well as learn more about the process of landing a government job. I will be passing along this website to other military spouses as well!
Mariann Nance said… Thanks, I'm looking forward to it.
