We also provide information on Business and Federal Leadership and Certification Programs that offer you an avenue for advancement in your field.

Military Friendly Schools is a Veteran focused website, but does allow searches for schools based on Military Spouse considerations. It also provides additional information on the schools that offer scholarships, tuition discounts and in-state tuition without residency requirements for military family members.

GetEducated.com is an online tool which allows you to research and compare educational institutions which offer online degree programs. The program ranks degrees according to affordability, student satisfaction, and public perception of the quality of the program. Unlike some other online college comparison programs, Get Educated is staffed by higher education experts who evaluate every college or school that applies to the site for a listing. They accept no pay for advertising particular colleges so are free to research and reveal data on every college in the United States.

Presidential Management Fellows Program: This leadership development program is for individuals who have received a qualifying advanced degree within the preceding two years. The program involves training and mentorship through Federal agencies but is targeted at people seeking leadership in any business or industry – not just the Federal Service.

MetLife Leadership Development Program: This Business leadership development program is a three-year rotational program. Although the website states that relocation can be required, the program may be more adaptable to Military Spouse applicants following the award of a significant Defense contract which will involve MetLife offices at most key military locations.

GE Experienced Leaders Program: This program attracts future leaders in the Business, Sales and Marketing, Human Resources and Engineering fields and provides the opportunity for accelerated advancement within GE.

FINRA Investor Education Foundation Military Spouse Fellowship: The fellowship provides spouses with the training they need to earn the Accredited Financial Counselor® (AFC®) designation. It covers the costs associated with completing the AFC® training and testing and is annually awarded to 50 Military Spouses.

UMUC 1 year MBA Program: People entering the world of business, as well as those assuming greater management responsibilities in their organizations, require a broad array of specialized knowledge. The One-Year Master of Business Administration (CMBA) offers the same award-winning curriculum as the two-year MBA program in a highly concentrated format. The One-Year format offers an interdisciplinary, integrated, and applied degree program. The goal is to prepare students for greater management and executive-level positions by developing key managerial competencies—including critical thinking, systems thinking, team building, decision making, and ethical leadership—that can be applied in any type of business organization. The 42-credit One-Year MBA program consists of eight five-week academic content courses and three eleven-week business practicum courses. The practicum courses run concurrently with the five-week courses and allow students to apply what they are learning to business challenges faced in their own organizations. Each student is assigned to a cohort of students who work together throughout the entire program and the entire program can be completed online which is ideal for Military Spouses who may be relocating or in a remote location.
